Who I Am
Gabriella’s “yoga of awareness” classes reflect her lifelong dedication to following the path to the sacred.
She developed a holistic approach to yoga by taking the wisdom teachings from the Indian tradition beyond the asanas and converting them to life skills. Her authentic and heart-centered approach helps participants align the mind, body, and heart with the subtle forces of the universe.
Practicing “yoga of awareness” results in true transformation, helping you navigate life with more freedom and ease.
“Gabriella's students leave her classes feeling inspired and empowered to take their practice beyond the yoga mat and bring about a true transformation in their lives.”
Gabriella’s journey in yoga began in Hungary during the 1980s when she was still in high school.
Even though yoga was considered a capitalist concept and was prohibited to engage, she felt a deep calling to connect with the subtler reality and found her way to a class in a gym after school. She instantly fell in love with the feeling she experienced during savasana at the end of the class. After immigrating to the States in 2005, she completed her first teacher training with Kira Sloane and has remained devoted to the path of being a student ever since. She is most grateful for all her teachers and the teachings that have generously shared with her.
She believes that yoga ultimately is the art of becoming skillful in our inner transformation to realign with our essential nature. The result of this inner transformation supports us in understanding and navigating life with more freedom and ease. The first step in this process is to become aware of who we are and where we stand in this process here and now. Her unique heart-centered teaching style is based on Self-Knowledge, Self-Acceptance, and Self-Love.
Gabriella’s gentle and loving personality creates a safe environment where students can become aware of the profound effect that synchronizing movement with breath has on the mind and body. She seamlessly combines the asanas with the yogic mythical stories and with the yogic philosophy offering students the opportunity to integrate spirit into their lives to cultivate balance, strength, and self-resilience. She believes peace and quietness of the heart and the mind is essential in the healing process of our ever-present inner child, and when we learn how to quiet the mind and still our heart, we gain access to our True Self. Connecting with this subtle reality within supports us to align ourselves with the Great Universal Force as well.
Her classes support spiritual seekers longing to embrace yoga as a life skill and cultivate balance and strength on the mundane level as well as in the subtler realms.
Why I do what I do?
I like to share the teachings from the yogic tradition because they work. I deeply believe in the importance of self-awareness (more commonly known as mindfulness) because it works on many levels as well as in many different aspects of our lives.
Practicing yoga can make us stronger in our core on the physical level yes, although I find it much more important that it makes us stronger and healthier on the mental and emotional level also.
Yoga is the ultimate tool to become more aware of who we truly are and why we are here, so we may live our life in joyous alignment with our own true and essential nature.
I believe that we all need to know about this practice that is always accessible to us and has been used for centuries as a holistic healing method.
